I use ko uchi gake a lot nowadays. I didn’t use ko uchi much until I started coaching, when I also tried to stop using my bread and butter techniques and focus more on my weaknesses. It opens up space for a lot of drop throws and hip toss techniques as well as being a generally low threat off balancer.

Several of my students also favor ko uchi gake. I think it's a good place where wrestling and judo have an overlapping feel. One of them uses ko uchi gake to set up a devastating drop kata guruma.

O soto gari and uchi mata are my two favorite throws. I’ll also use sumi gaeshi and tani otoshi as sacrifice throws (usually against big guys). I like o soto so much that I bought this shirt for no-gi class:

Other than sacrifices, my goto throws are o guruma, koshi guruma and a high rear variant of tai otoshi. My yoko wakare comment is obviously tongue and cheek, but I do love both yoko wakare and sumi gaeshi as well, although I generally won't use them against lower belts. I find o guruma to be the most versatile of all the standing throws and a fantastic combo finisher.
